Claim Types - Further Information About Claim Types

Road Traffic Accident

The number of vehicles on the road continues to increase annually which has a consequential increase in the number of accidents that occur. If you are unfortunate enough to be involved in a Road Traffic Accident as a driver, rider, passenger or pedestrian you may be entitled to claim compensation. The law requires all vehicles to be insured and for Insurers of those vehicles to pay compensation where liability can be established.

Accident at Work

Accidents in the workplace are a frequent occurrence. This traditionally applies to workers involving industry and construction i.e. falling off scaffolding or being injured by moving parts of machinery. There is now entitlement for so called ""white-collar"" claims which include issues for stress, bullying, passive smoking and Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI). Your employer will be insured against you pursuing such a claim.'

Slip or Trip

Whenever you slip or trip on private land, in the street or in a public place which causes personal injuries you may be entitled to claim compensation. If liability can be established against another party to maintain property then you may be entitled to claim compensation.'

Other Accidents

There is no finite list of the type of accidents for which you are entitled to claim compensation for personal injuries. There is a need to establish that there is fault on another party and that an injury has occurred. If these basic criteria are met then you may be entitled to claim compensation.'
